1. Scope
These cookie settings apply to digital offers operated or controlled by Michael Scheibl where the relevant offer links to this page. They provide a general framework; only technologies actually used result in corresponding processing.
Individual offers may be subject to additional or more specific consent and privacy information. External platforms and third-party offers use their own technologies and are subject to the information of the respective provider.
2. Legal framework
Storing information on terminal equipment or accessing information already stored on terminal equipment is governed by Section 25 TDDDG. Where personal data is processed, the GDPR and other applicable data protection provisions also apply.
3. Strictly necessary technologies
Technologies may be used without consent where the statutory conditions are met, in particular where their sole purpose is to transmit a communication or where they are strictly necessary to provide a digital service expressly requested by the user.
Depending on the specific offer, this may include security, session, load-balancing, language preference, consent, access or misuse-protection functions. Classification depends on the actual function, not on the name of the technology.
4. Optional technologies
Non-essential analytics, convenience, personalisation, marketing, affiliate, external-media or comparable functions are activated only where they are actually used and the required consent has been given.
Consent must be freely given, informed, specific and unambiguous. Refusing optional technologies must not prevent the use of technically necessary core functions; individual optional functions may, however, be unavailable without the consent required for them.

Where necessary, the consent choice may be stored together with technically necessary evidence data in order to implement the selection and demonstrate that consent was given or refused. Such evidence data is not used for unrelated purposes.
7. Changes and withdrawal
You may withdraw or change consent at any time with effect for the future through the settings provided. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal.
8. Information on technologies actually used
Where an offer uses specific optional technologies or external services, the required information – in particular purpose, category, where applicable provider, retention period or retention criteria, and relevant third-country information – must be provided in the consent module or in supplementary privacy information.
Services not in use are not listed merely as a precaution. New technologies are added to the consent and privacy information only when they are actually introduced.
9. Third parties and international transfers
Where an optional technology transfers data to third parties or to countries outside the European Union or European Economic Area, the required additional information is provided with the specific service or in the privacy policy. Transfers requiring consent take place only after valid consent.
